Wedding Album Template?

Alright... with wedding season upon us, I'm getting the "bug" to start designing a wedding album template. It's motivated by selfish thoughts: I want to do a gift for a friend of mine getting married in August, and I also will be celebrating my 10th anniversary and would love to "relive" the day by propperly scrapping it. If only Digital Cameras were the norm back in 1998....

So anyway.... if I were designing YOUR wedding album (which ultimately could be the truth if you wish to DL the freebies), what would be the "must haves for pages?

Here's what I'm thinking are the Must Haves:
*The Bride
*The Groom
*Brides Family (Parents, Grandparents, Extended)
*Grooms Family (Parents, Grandparents, Extended)
*Flower Girl
*Ring Bearer
*The Flowers
*The Vows
*The Rings
*Unity Candle
*The Kiss
*Introducing Mr. & Mrs.
*The "Getaway" Car / Just Married
*The Cake
*Back Cover Page

These are the nice to haves (but not essential):
How We Met
Engagement Photos
Rehearsal Dinner
The Church / Location
Personal Attendants
Other Honored Guests
Father Giving Away Daughter
Cutting the Cake
First Dance
Toasts / Champagne

Anything missing? And how about verses, quotes, scripture that you'd love to see in a wedding kit album? I'm all ears!

How about the father/daughter dance? Something with "Daddy's little girl" comes to mind.

Also the bouquet toss, the removing of the garter, and the garter toss?

As for the quotes and scriptures and such, maybe as you choose each page, you could solict by theme? That's a lot to think about!

BTW, I found you just before the big move, so I am SO happy that you getting back to designing.

You have been a HUGE inspiration for my scrapbooking. Thanks.

wow that is a good list!

someone mentioned father/daughter dance-that's a good one (although my father passed away suddenly before my sister got married-but for most people this would be a great one!)

and if people don't need certain ones-they can just omit those!

a few others I thought of:
miniature bride and groom
junior bridesmaids/groomsmen
the signing of the marriage license

this sounds like quite a project!! Can't wait to see what comes of it!

I'm thinking the "First Dance" should move to the must haves, along with Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances.

Other thoughts... cocktail hour, wedding guests (I'm thinking of my wedding pics - photog took a big group photo of all our guests together at the wedding - do most do this?), getting ready, honeymoon... and also those mentioned with the bouquet toss and such...

I'd like to add my "Welcome Back" to the mix - I also found you right before your big move and I'm so anxious to see what this project brings! Our photographer never provided us with our wedding album.... all we ever got was our proofs (long, sad story). Thankfully, the proofs aren't marked on the fronts, so I've always wanted to scan them and create an album, just never took the time... this would motivate me to finally get it done! :)

Looking forward and will be watching - thanks for doing this, Sarah!

I'd love to see some wedding stuff. I have also just celebrated 10 years. And to be honest...I haven't done my wedding album yet. I didn't think my skills were up to it yet and didn't want to look back someday and want to rip apart my album. But I'm thinking of getting brave and going for it. So your timing is perfect. Plus my sister got married a year ago and I have tons of pictures from her wedding to do.

One I thought would be good is for the people who have passed away and weren't able to be there. In my sister's case our grandpa had passed away. He was very important in our lives so we placed his picture up at the front with a candle that my grandma lit. So something that people could recognize those who have passed on would be great. Possibly a generic one so that it could cover many different circumstances.

God IS good - although we are so caught up in 'living' sometimes we have to 'look back' to realize just how GOOD God is! Glad things are going well for your family.

The wedding album idea is great - how about some 'blank' pages for those photos that just don't fit into a titled page?

Love this idea!
Here are some of my favorite quotes:
"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." ~Proverbs 3:3

"You are my heart, my life, my one and only thought." ~Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God." ~I John 4:7

Song of Songs 8:6-7

"Love one another deeply, from the heart." ~I Peter 1:22

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Proverbs 18:22

Matthew 19:6

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies." ~Proverbs 31:10

"My beloved is mine and I am his." ~Song of Songs 2:16

Proverbs 5:18-19

Proverbs 31:30 (perfect for those of us with "fleeting beauty...")

Wishing you well on your journey...

I didn't see this but may be blind... we got pictures of the 'families' with the bride and groom. First the bride's family, then the groom's family, then all together. I would love to include those.

This is a really neat idea you've come up with. :-)

How about a page for the service (i.e. maybe for other pix of the ceremony that aren't vows)? Or perhaps a page for the procession? Maybe some generic pages for "preparations" that could be anything fom the bride putting on her veil to getting the church decorated. Or maybe something about seeing each other for the first time on their wddding day?
