April Mini Kit - He is Risen

Well, this one proved to be a challenge for me. I was not very inspired, especially after realizing that Easter hits in March in 2008! Oops! Then I read on Andrea's blog that she's really excited about April's colors, so I figure the two of us will balance each other out this go-round!

I've mentioned before that I scrap very little with elements -- I'm a papers girl. So it's the elements that are lacking on this kit. I made a stained glass butterfly for you, some word art that I'm really happy with, and some journal borders and frames. I was reading a "Family Circle" magazine on the plane last week, and they used these scalloped borders or lines around some of their articles or mini-snippets. I thought it would be cute to implement into a scrap kit. So you see it here!

The papers, I think you'll be happy with. I used a brush designed by 3zehn.org and removed the butterflies from the background. Then I added some textures, and you can see the 10 different papers that emerged. The butterfly papers are HUGE though, so you'll have to download this kit in two pieces. The first group has everything BUT the butterfly papers. The second group has just the butterfly papers.

This is beautiful! I was looking at some of your past posts, and I have added you as a bookmark! YOu have some very pretty, and wonderful things on here (some of my favorite verses too!) I also enjoy the music video! So much better than some music that I hear on sites and end up turning the volume off...I was singing along with yours! Wonderful blog...expect for me to be a regular! :)

In my tradition, Roman Catholic, Easter lasts for 6 weeks - so don't worry about Easter Sunday being in March - April is still the Easter Season!

And the colors are gorgeous!

Love the butterfuly textured papers and also the John 3:16 papers, I think I'll use them to make cards or bookmarks for my sunday school, is that ok? Love the word art. Thank you!

Your work is fabulous. I am not a digital scrapbooker "as yet". My daughter Andrea has kept me posted on all your accomplishments. I can hardly wait to see what you have come up with next. The 2 of you are inspiring me to learn how to scrap. Bless you Sarah for sharing your talent.

Love the color scheme and the addition of the yellow. So pretty for the month of April. Love your so colorful and meaningful word art. So beautiful with the patterns and textures. The frames are so elegant in their design and is perfect for that special precious moment in time. I see where Hummie is teasing you about your designing especially with all the people trying to get your wonderful and so resourceful downloads. Again, thanks for staying on course and knowing that you are blessed for each act of kindness along with each smile you place upon our faces. (If you go by my smiles, get yourself a bucket because you will need it.) Give my love and prayers to your family and friends. Leavin LUV! XOXOXO
