I'm making a gift for my babysitter as a thank you and a good-bye present from us. Our last day at her house will be next Friday. We will miss her terribly. Let me first share with you how we found this wonderful woman:
I had my daughter in a national child care facility. It was nice, the people were nice, etc., however, she was sick ALL the time and I was missing a ton of work. It was way too stressful for all of us. She was 8 months old.
I was looking through the classified ads, and one came up who was looking for 1-2 children. I called her; she was calm, quiet and "motherly" sounding, unlike many of the "flaky" people I had called from other ads. I arranged to meet her. My husband and I sat in her driveway and I prayed, "God, make this obvious, because I can't take much more." We went in, met her, and within 5 minutes, she had told us the reason she moved to the city was because God planned to save her here. That was it. Sold! I didn't even call to check references. The kids have been there now for just over 2 years -- she has been a blessing to us many times over. We will miss her terribly.
So this gift is for her. The little girl in purple is my daughter, the little girl in red is her daughter. They are running ahead of us at the zoo. The words around the edge and on the path are adapted from "An Irish Blessing" -- the one that goes "May the road rise up to meet you..."
My question to you -- which one is your favorite!?!?!?

What a beautiful gift and a wonderful photo! WOW this is hard, cause I really like each one. For me it is a toss up between 3 & 4 but I am leaning toward 3 only because I think the focus is more on the girls. :)
I like 2 & 3... but its not like you could go wrong. What a GREAT gift!
I personally Love 4...I find the borders distracting...but the words on the road very neat and meaningful.
They are all wonderful and I am sure she will enjoy this wonderful gift.
I pick 2 or 3 either one!! They are beautiful!
Great gift for a great woman - I think.
My favourite is Number 3!
Greetings from Germany

Wow. Well, I am torn between 3 & 4. Love the words on the road though. So much meaning!
I like 3 & 4...3 focuses on the girls and 4 focuses on the words...so maybe 3 wins for me
I am just a guy, but I like the last picture the best. I saved the pictures and tried to enlarge them but the resolution is not great enough to make the writing around the 1 2 nnd 3 picture stand out. You could maybe put the writing along the left side of the road and highlight the girls like in a frame. If I could see the first three better I might like one of them, but after enlargeing I still cannot read the writing. Of course, if you plan to have this printed in a big picture, then the writing around the side might just be the thing you are looking to get. My wife did one like this with our Granddaughter and our daughter, and they were walking under a covered bridge with their back to us, and she called it. " A Slice of Life" so this pictue also is a slice of life. We and our daughter enjoy your templates so much, and we all wish you great happiness in your new location. God Bless You and Your Family
I really like 1 & 3. I'm partial to swirls and simplicity and love the simple look of the border of words. It enhances the picture and doesn't distract from it. I think the words on the road take away a bit from the picture. But that's just me!
I like #3! Super job!
I like 3. I find that the words on the road takes away from the picture of the girls
Hi Sarah,
I like #4 the best but they are all nice........such a nice and everlasting gift!

What a beautiful gift! I love #3.
Number 3 all the way. Sarah you just keep getting sweeter and sweeter the longer I know you. This is a beautiful gift - she is going to love it. Good luck with your big move - let me know how it all turns out. I've been leaving you alone so you can concentrate on getting moved and settled. Look out once you are!

i love #2 the best; the words become the focus on 4, the girls are the focus in 2 and I think the lighting on the road in 2 enhances attention to the girls moreso than the road in #3...
beautiful gift, whichever is given :)
Personally I LOVE #4...the girls are still a focus but the blessing is there too... If I were going to give it as a gift it would be #4. :) but I am sure she will love any of them.
I like the first one the best. They are all gorgeous.
I love 2 and 3! They are all beautiful!

How wonderful that you found such a caring person to take care of your children. I fell into the same thing when my children were young and what a lifesaver and blessing. I like the 2nd picture the best, but they are all beautiful.
Hi Sarah
I had to come back and see what everyone else liked! lol
I also just picked up the Planner months I missed. Thank you again so much for creating this and sharing it. Also for leaving it up for us REALLY SLOWPOKES!
I decided I am going to make this for my Father for the New Year, he is 74 and starting to be a little forgetfull. This will help him out and he will love it. Thanks again so much!
I have to say three is my favorite too! Great job and awesome photo!!
They are all lovely, but I think my favorite it the first one. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
I like 1 - it seems to me that the focus is on the girls, with kind of stop-motion feeling. But they are all wonderful!
I vote for #3.
I like number 3 the best. these are BEAUTIFUL!
:0)
I hate to come back and use up your comment space, but I hope you will let us all know which one you pick! I sure would like to see it in its orig size, maybe a download! Thanks Again!
Sarah, If I'm understanding what the gifts meaning for you is all about, then #4 encompasses it all. You're blending the Harmony of the Children and the Message all into ONE focus of Love. Not making one element any more important than any other.
Hugs & Blessings,
Dane Ann
#3...I like the feel of the way the words work with the mood.
Sandy
last one. without a doubt. You can read it so much better, and it's an important part of the gift. lovely work, by the way.
me again. I do think you should leave all the words in, just put them around the children and fade the ends a beginnings a bit--looks like you erased some entirely...but I still like it the best.
I really like the darker shadows of #3 and the border is light enough that I don't find it distracting. Cute picture and very symbolic for the occassion. nice choice!
I would say 3 or 4, but 4 is more fitting to the poem. Great work any which way you go!
I like 2 or 3...it keeps the focus on the girls. Awesome!
I think the last one is the best one. word borders are too small to read. Last picture says it all. Happy New Year Friend.
It would be 2 or 3 for me too and I'm leaning more toward 3!
Happy New Year!
I pick 2 or 3! They are beautiful!
I love the last one. Can't read all of the words on the other 3 and the borders were to much of a distraction for me.
love #3
Gostei muito desse post e seu blog é muito interessante, vou passar por aqui sempre =) Depois dá uma passada lá no meu site, que é sobre o CresceNet, espero que goste. O endereço dele é http://www.provedorcrescenet.com . Um abraço.
I really like no 3 too! BTW, every page is gorgeous!
I like the 4th one:)
boy you ask difficult questions:) I'm guessing you've picked already? Whichever one it was, it was the best pick I'm sure. Each one is awesome. Great gift! :)
my favorite is the 2
I MISS YOU!!!! where oh where can you be????
Still checking on you Sarah - hope you are OK...
the parents i babysat for gave me a college frame of pictures of the kids and $100 in gc to the movie theater. I'd rather have the kids...
I like the first one best!
Oh they are all lovely, but I think I like #3 best. Glad to hear you are all adjusting, and will have furniture SOON!
Thanks again for all your lovely work, and can't wait to see pics of the new place!
